Name: "The King"

Biography: As I was sitting on the bank of the Mississippi River watching the ducks and gulls I spied this beautiful Mallard. If you have spent much time watching ducks, you start to be able to tell when they are going to lift out of the water to shake off their wings. This guy started to do just that and I clicked off four shots of him from start to finish and this is the second one. This image was a bit softer then I had hoped for but I think the composition is strong enough to make up for that.
